Summer 2010 >> Alternate Futures: Afrofuturist Multiverses & Beyond, a virtual 3D art exhibition sponsored by IBM Center for Social Software. The exhibition was dismantled in mid-August but fragments were resurrected at my home location in Second Life.

Alternate Futures continues to inform my doctoral thesis work at Georgia Tech.

November 2009 >> PBS Art21 blog (Art 2.1 column).

November 30 >> Virtual Artists’ Immersive Discoveries in a Virtual 3D Frontier, went live and soon became one of the most viewed, commented on blog posts for PBS Art21.

December 31 >> Performative Interventions: The Progression of 4D Art in a Virtual 3D World features artists exploring time-based art in Second Life.

Fall 2009 >> Boston Artscience 100K program for high school students interested immersive 3D art and design.

December 18 >> Mixed Reality performance and collaboration. A machinima was posted via YouTube.

Spring 2010 >> Advanced level class and open studio begins!

March 2009 >> Keynote presentation for the NMC Symposium on New Media & Learning in Second Life on how to synthesize current and emerging web technologies into immersive 3D art for teaching and learning. My presentation included an online paper.

 

March 2009 >>RYMAEC presentation for youth practitioners on how the web platform can transform and converge current technologies into immersive, 3D spaces for art making and learning.
